Armchair BEA

I am so excited for Armchair BEA this year!! I wish I could be one of the lucky BEA goers this year, but then I learned about Armchair BEA and realized hey... this just might be even better than going to NYC! There are so many awesome book bloggers that put this together for us and I just couldn't be anymore grateful! So for Day One of Armchair BEA, our posts are intended to introduce ourselves to all the other awesome book bloggers out there (that's YOU!) and hopefully make some awesome bookish friends!

So I'm Lauren from Kentucky. I'm a senior majoring in Corporate Communication at KWC and I work part time as a bank teller. I'm 22, live with my boyfriend of 6 six years in our first house that we bought in 2008, and I have my sweet, wonderful, most bad wiener dog, Emmitt, who follows me everywhere, stays by me when I'm sick, and always finds some new place to hike his leg and pee in the house. Yup. He's not exactly the best behaved dog, but we're working on that!

So there's my IRL details... now on to the good stuff... BOOKS! I am completely obsessed with books. I have to have them. Going to the bookstore for me is like a crack head going to the crack house. Haha. Sorry... I know that's a bad comparison, but I do get a little crazy sometimes. I read fiction, memoirs (no famous celebrities please), historical fiction (any and all time periods), and most recently young adult books. I have a newfound love of anything dystopian or post apocalyptic.

Next on the agenda is... how am I doing Armchair BEA? Well, I'm sitting on my butt with my laptop, my dog, and my wifi! I'll be posting everyday for Armchair BEA this week and hopping to every blog that I have time for! I hope to meet some other awesome book bloggers, share my bookish love, and hey... if I win a book here or there then heck yeah!!!

My book blog is extremely young and I hope to get tips from some seasoned bloggers and to share in the fun! So the big question is... how are you doing Armchair BEA?
